There are a few tools that I consider indispensable if you consider yourself a serious woodworker. The Vix Bit by S.E. Vicks is one such tool. Whether you are a cabinet maker, finish carpenter, window maker or boat builder these bits are worth their weight in gold.

You know how critical (and surprisingly tricky) it is to drill precisely located holes for setting hardware. The spring loaded, retracting barrel allows these genuine Vix Bits to instantly and automatically drill centered holes for strike plates, locks, lifts, hinges and the like.

American made by the original inventor and available from SRS  in 4 sizes, I can’t recommend these strongly enough.
