Description
Whiting is a fine ground calcium carbonate with a broad variety of uses. In the context of window making and restoration it is most commonly used to remove oil residue from glass by applying with a brush after putty glazing.
For paint, it can be used both as an extender in paint pigments, as well as an additive to paint in order to thicken the paint for increased coverage and improved hiding power.

Whiting was awesome using after re-glazing fifteen fixed windows. Just swept it on and all the oil came off the window. It also gave a good haze on the new glaze so I was able to brush over the glaze and it fixed my newbie mistakes. Very happy with the product and SRS sent emails as my purchase moved along. Bought a one pound box and that was more than enough.
