Description
Spring bolts are used most frequently to secure single hung lower sash. The bolts are used in pairs and are slipped into 3/8″ diameter holes drilled through the lower stiles and engage holes drilled into the window jamb. These brass spring bolts can also be used in a variety of situations where a sash or screen needs to be easily removable, such as with outswing casement windows. The turned brass bolt has an attractive spade shaped finial that affords a secure and comfortable grip.
Our bolts are solid brass with a stainless steel spring. The stainless steel spring prevents any corrosion and assures trouble-free service. These spring bolts are available in Lacquered Brass, Unlacquered Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Satin Nickel and Polished Nickel finishes.

Perfect for holding fixed windows
We have two fixed windows in the attic. In the summer, we swap the glass windows for screens to keep the attic cool. The spring bolts work well to hold the sash and screens in place and make swapping them out very easy.

I am beyond satisfied with this company and their spring bolts. This is the real deal. If you’re considering it, just buy it.
Make sure you check out the technical specifications sheet first. Use a 3/8’s bit if you’re drilling the holes or cleaning out old holes. I accidentally used a 25/64’s on one and it was enough to make it a loose fit. Now i have one window spring rocket 😉 The devil’s in the details.
The bolts look great, are solid, and i can tell will last for years to come. I installed 8 bolts on 4 windows the first day I got them in. So stoked.

Very good quality. Very accurate and consistent dimensions. Spring is strong and functions with authority. Easy to install. I have no doubts they will last more than the life of the sash.

Excellent product, excellent service as always. Used these to replace older non functioning coated with 100+ years of paint, spring pins that held our transom windows in place (pivot ) in our 1917 Tudor revival. Chose bare brass and installed perfectly and were exact size diameter and length for the existing bore. Great upgrade. Another winning purchase from SRS. The greatest old house resource around.
