Description

These sockets receive the end of our Spring Bolts and give window frames a finished appearance.

Jamb sockets are made of solid brass. To install, use a 7/16″ brad-point drill bit to drill several holes for the spring bolts as needed. Generally the bolts are set to secure the lower sash in the closed/locked position and one or two other “open positions.”

Pro-tip: we like to set the bolts so that the open positions are:

1. shut

2. lower sash open 2 – 3 inches for a bit of ventilation while preventing children or pets from falling out of the window.

3. a height where muntins align.

Sockets are a friction fit and are tapped into place with a small hammer.

The sockets are available inĀ  Unlacquered Brass and Oil Rubbed Bronze.
