Description
Sash chain is fastened to the sash by means of a “spiral”. The sash chain is threaded onto the chain fastener and the spiral is then slipped into a 3/4″ or 7/8″ diameter hole bored into the sash stile.
This system is very simple and secure and allows for rapid and easy removal of the chain from the sash for painting and maintenance.
Required spiral size determined by the hole present in sash. In the case of sash that are to be weatherstripped, it can be advantageous to use the smaller ¾” SPI 44 in order to avoid interfering with any kerfs, slots or weatherstripping.
